Who are our students

Children and teenagers (12 years and older) wishing to improve their CONVERSATIONAL English with access to a computer and a phone with a camera and a stable internet.
Minimum level of English of A2 is required. (click on this link to assess your level of English – What is your English level? – English Level Test – Grammar & Listening)
If offered a place the student undertakes to take 6 lessons with the same tutor, a first lesson will determine the compatibility of tutor/student.

You will develop the skills and confidence to engage in meaningful conversations in English across a wide range of topics.
Your accent when you speak English will improve.
You will understand a native English speaker.
Your life will be transformed: spoken English is key to getting better jobs and better education in every country on planet Earth.
You will get direct insights into a life in a different country, this will broaden your horizons.
You will receive motivation to study.
You will become a better learner for other subjects, your grades will go up.
Upon completion of a course of 6 lessons our students get an official certificate from Baloo Academy certifying their success in learning English.

Register online providing all the details required by our system.
If possible (optional) write a short essay (maximum 150 words) explaining your motivation to study English with Baloo Academy.
Put an effort in recording a good video of yourself (maximum 1 minute) presenting yourself.
You will need to upload the video as part of your application process.
You will receive a confirmation email, and when a place becomes available, we will connect you with your tutor to set up the first meeting.
Places for Baloo students are allocated on a first come first serve basis, priority is given to students coming from countries outside of the European Union, UK or USA.

All materials used during the lessons are available when you login to your personal account.
After the lessons you can review the material covered during the lesson, read the extracts from the books recommended by your tutor and prepare the homework.
We expect you to prepare the homework for every lesson – your tutor will guide you during each lesson as to what exactly is expected from you.
Your success in learning English will depend on the work you put into it outside of the classes.
